LOW LIGHT – Bright f/2.8-4 maximum aperture range is suitable for working in available light conditions and also benefits depth of field control for isolating subject matter.
OPTICS – One Special Low Dispersion and two F Low Dispersion elements are featured in the optical design to reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations for improved clarity and color. Three aspherical elements to help limit distortion and spherical aberrations and contribute to greater overall sharpness and accurate.
FOCUS – Hyper Sonic Motor, which provides fast, smooth, and near-silent autofocus performance. This focusing motor also enables full-time manual focus override at any time just by rotating the focus ring for refined manual control and focusing as close as 10.6″. A rounded nine-blade diaphragm helps to produce an attractive out-of-focus quality. This lens is compatible with the optional Sigma USB Dock for fine-tuning different lens characteristics and updating its firmware.
