Vizio P-Series Quantum X: A TV Like No Other

What do you know about the Vizio P-Series Quantum X television?  This LCD offers users a high-end picture quality at an affordable price.

Vizio P-Series Quantum X

Cons

  • The TV comes with a relatively few apps.
  • It has no voice remote.

The Vizio P-Series Quantum X 75-Inch Class (PX75-G1) is a 4K TV series that has amazing picture quality and dimming LED backlighting array with many zones for contrast.

Why Will You Want a Vizio P-Series Quantum X?

The Design

The PX65-G1 comes with a bezel free design and strikingly minimal that frames your screen with this unique scant quarter inch of black and the flush glass border.

All the ports on the TV are positioned on the right side and splits between facing down and facing right.

It has RCA component video inputs, a USB port, and two HDMI ports facing right for easy access.

Facing downward is the Ethernet port, a cable/antenna connector, RCA stereo audio outputs, and three HDMI ports, optical.

The Vizio P-Series Quantum X would have made more sense if it came with four or five HDMI inputs that would face the side and downward facing component video ports.

However, this complaint is minor. Volume Up/Down, Power, and Input buttons are at the back of the television.

The Vizio stayed away from equipping this model with the popular voice remote, but gave it a simple infrared remote.

The SmartCast

The brand has improved on its SmartCast smart television series over the years.  The Vizio P-Series Quantum X is a fairly streamlined and full featured interface.

The SmartCast has a functional on screen interface complete with a many streaming apps like YouTube, Netflix, Pandora, Prime Video, Hulu, Tidal, and Amazon.

Vizio P-Series Quantum X has few apps, but no Sling TV or crunchyroll, but you can access Google Cast apps to your PC, tablet, or smartphone.

SmartCast supports AirPlay 2 to help users stream easily from their Mac, iPad, or iPhone.  The Vizio P-Series Quantum X is compatible with Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit, and Google Assistant.

The Performance

The PX65-G1 supports HDR or high dynamic range content in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG), HDR10, and Dolby Vision.

In Calibrated mode, this television comes out as one of the brightest televisions, displaying a peak brightness of 629.435cd/m2 on the full screen white field.

It shows a 1,835.076cd/m2 when it displays on an 18-percent white field. The Vizio P-Series Quantum X beats the Samsung Q90R in color gamut.

The colors and picture quality is top notch.  The powerful color performance will stun everyone who enjoys great movies and documentaries.

Take for instance, the strong contrast of the television when it shows the party scenes of The Great Gatsby. You would love the way the lights and colors came out.

What Is the Input Lag of Vizio P-Series Quantum X?

What do you know about input lag on your television? This is the amount of time between when your TV screen gets updates and a signal.

For video game players, this time is important.  When you test Vizio P-Series Quantum X with an HDFury 4K Diva HDMI matrix, it displays a high input lag of 129.1 milliseconds in Calibrated mode.

Most gamers will love this input lag even though it didn’t get to the 20ms threshold. The Vizio P-Series Quantum X balances value and performance.

It displays color and contrast that rival what we receive from the Samsung Q90R series, and it is half the price of the latter.

The television comes with a blazingly bright image that surpasses our expectation in its color range and dark black levels.

You should know that the SmartCast platform of the Vizio P-Series Quantum X lacks some of the sophisticated features seen in many smart television brands like voice assistants.

However, the television made up for this with its in-depth calibration tools. Thinking of a smart television with modest price and excellent quality pictures, this model is awesome.

While the Vizio P-Series Quantum X may have some shortcomings, it didn’t stop it from giving us value for our money. It’s perfect for viewing and game playing.

If you love colors and sound, Vizio didn’t disappoint its users with this amazing model that comes at a midrange price.
